During Basin Electric’s United Way fundraising campaign, we know “Change Starts Here.”

But what exactly is changing? And who is that change affecting?

In the next few weeks, we’ll be highlighting Basin Electric employees who have either benefitted from or volunteered with agencies supported by United Way within the communities in which we work and live.

These employees’ lives are being changed. These employees are the faces of change.

Faye Miller, director of financial services for Dakota Coal and Montana Limestone Company, is temporary part-time executive director of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bismarck-Mandan.

United WayShe became involved in the program when she heard how much fun a friend was having as a Big Brother. She eventually helped found the local chapter in 1993, is a former board member and been a Big Sister three times.
