Missouri Slope Areawide United Way is selecting qualified candidates for key positions. 

Campaign and Volunteer Coordinator

Direct, plan and coordinate the annual fundraising campaign in partnership with the campaign co-chairs, campaign cabinet, and executive director. Develop strategies to provide a year-round visible presence to the community and other external stakeholders in an effort to create broad support for, and awareness of the organization. Fill gaps in the community while engaging donors through the coordination of meaningful volunteer experiences and recognition events, such as Day of Caring, food drives and United Way’s Adopt-A-Classroom program. Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field. Experience in sales, marketing, public relations or fundraising preferred. Proven successful competencies needed: relationship building; presentation skills; communication skills, oral and written; problem solving; self-motivated; analytical.

Community Impact Director

Missouri Slope Areawide United Way seeks a Community Impact Director who will work to achieve long-lasting, meaningful community change and community impact. Responsibilities include coordination of the community building work of the United Way including: the annual community investment process, outcome reporting, program evaluation, and community problem-solving efforts. Work collectively with agency partners, donors and community leaders on various community-wide problem solving and planning initiatives. Master’s degree in social work or nonprofit management and a minimum of 3 or more years of relevant experience preferred. Demonstrated expertise in program evaluation, outcomes, and measurement systems is required. High level of self-direction and an orientation to achieve results. Strong strategic thinking and communication skills (both verbal and written). This Community Impact Director will enhance collaborations and partnerships to solve community-wide problems. Experience in health/human services, program coordination and evaluation is required. Grant management and training experience also beneficial. Master’s degree in Social Sciences or related field. Advanced/ Graduate degree in social sciences preferred.
